One of my favorite paintings has always been A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte by George Seurat. This exploration of trees and people in the park was a fun adventure in honor of George.
About Lory MacDonald
Lory has explored many approaches to art making throughout her lifetime of painting and creating crafts. Recently, she has combined her skills and experience as a painter and craft artist to develop an exciting new series of paintings. The collection consists of 300 images produced from a set of drawings depicting imaginary worlds, trees, landscapes, flora, fauna, and creatures. The completed original pieces in the collection range in size from 12”x16” to 48”x60”. THE PROCESS These paintings draw upon skills that include: painting, sewing, jewelry making, decorating, paper mache sculpting, doll making, and hand painting glassware.
